Sometime in September 1983 I preached at the Elkdale Baptist Church for the first time. I remember the message I preached. I preached from I Cor. 13, the love passage. I preached on the characteristics of love. That was 38 years ago. A lot has happened in 38 years. Many many of the founders of this church have gone home to be with the Lord. Our nation and world has become more and more anti-christ in nature. Back then I used to hand write all my sermon notes. I preached on I Cor. 13 because the Bible says that love is the greatest virtue a Christian could have.
