This song teaches that as we delight ourselves in the Lord he will place in our heart good desires, that will be in accordance with His will. Than we have the promise that he will bring these things to pass in our lives. He then will give us the desires of our heart. The Song is take from the following verses.
PSALM 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
PSALM 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
PSALM 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
